{"id":72,"date":"2025-08-08T13:33:00","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T13:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pastorphilemon.online\/messages\/?p=72"},"modified":"2026-04-16T14:44:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T14:44:23","slug":"a-believer-is-the-salt-of-the-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pastorphilemon.online\/messages\/a-believer-is-the-salt-of-the-earth\/","title":{"rendered":"A BELIEVER IS THE SALT OF THE EARTH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is one of the messages Jesus taught at the mountain on Mathew chapter 5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He then switch on to a figurative way \u00a0light and the salt of the earth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some times we ask ourselves why our Lord Jesus Christ referred his disciples as Salt .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt is \u00a0commonly known and commonly used by almost every person,nations,rich and poor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt is used guideless of race and nationality by nature ever since man started using it,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rationally salt has been used by multicultural and ethnic groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt has scientific and nature healthy properties and advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking at the value and uses, here are few lessons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salt is called sodium chloride and used in different ways. I will \u00a0talk about what we call kitchen salt. This salt is commonly used in the kitchen and at the table . This salt is used by almost \u00a0every household in the world; rich and poor young and old and across all races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.  Flavour to our food<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every body would like to have a favourable taste of food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 Jesus is expecting us to produce good live &nbsp;flavour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 This will attract other people to the kingdom of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 For our food to have a live taste needs a sizable amount of salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2022 James 3:11-12&#8230;.&nbsp;<em>\u2019Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ephesians 4:29-32&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs?
