TIME AND PLACE OF PERSONAL LONELY PRAYERS

In the Lord’s model prayer we learnt about the importance of forgiveness. Now we have to learnt  about creating time and place for personal prayers.

Jesus Christ said ‘give us our daily bread. This gives a revelation of a specific period/time of such prayers or requests.Usually the word of our daily bread projects a time or period. The best time for a  daily bread  is in the  morning or as we start our day.

Quoting some occasions in the old and new  testament, some prayers were scheduled  at a particular place and time such as the following accession:

1. JesusĀ

Jesus Christ had a habit of going to the mountain or a solitary place for prayers .

Mark 1:35,
“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he got up, left the house, and went off to a solitary place, and there he prayed.”

Mathews 14:23
“After he had sent the crowds away, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.”

Luke 6:12:
“In those days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent the night in prayer to God.”

2. Elijah

In 1 Kings 18:25 – 40,  We see  Elijah in verse 36,  giving his scrifice at the time of the  evening sacrifice .  He waited for this time in the presence of his opponents at mount Camel and called upon the  Lord of Israel who sent the fire to burn the sacrifice.

3. DanelĀ

In Daniel 6:10,
Daniel kneeled down dailypraying  whilst his window opened facing Jerusalem.

4. Peter

In the book of Acts 3, we see John and Peter going to the temple at the hour of prayers, three in the afternoon.
